Precious Cargo had the recent opportunity to attend the 2019 United Motorcoach Association (UMA) Expo held in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The conference, held annually, allows leaders from bus and charter companies all over the world to network and share ideas on how to make the industry better. Classroom and round-table discussions dominated the first and second day with topics including, driver hiring and retention practices, driver fatigue, business social media presence, and creating a vibrant safety culture, among many others.

The highlight of the conference was on day 3, when the expo floor was opened to all in attendance. Within the confines of 200,000 square feet were vendors and suppliers, each showcasing the products and services they offer. Motor coach manufacturers were of course a major part of the show and vehicles were on display and even available for purchase on the spot, if anyone was so inclined.
